Baader polarizing filter 2″

Baader Polarizing Filter(1 piece)
Used in combination with another polarizing filter or a
Herschel wedge for infinitely variable brightness control.
With a second filter ideal for lunar and planetary observation or
for solar observation with AstroSolar Safety film ND 5.0. the
Brightness can be adjusted with two individual ones that can be rotated against each other
Adjust polarizing filters to the respective magnification. You can, for example:
a 1.25″ filter into the eyepiece and a 2″ filter into the
Screw reducer from 2″ to 1.25″.
Also used for infinitely variable brightness adjustment of the sun image
e.g. at the Herschelkeil. The Herschel wedge polarizes sunlight
so that a single polarizing filter is sufficient.
Important note: Polarizing filters must NOT be used when observing the sun
WITHOUT additional filtering (e.g. B. Herschel prism or AstroSolar
solar filter foil) in front of the telescope’s eyepiece.
To adjust the brightness variably, you need two polarizing filters.
Alternatively, you can also use the double polarizing filter #2408340 (1.25″)
or #2408344 (2″), where two filters are in one socket
can be twisted against each other. A set of polarizing filters provides:
maximum flexibility; For the highest image quality, we recommend individual
Neutral density filter, as there are then fewer glass surfaces in the light path.
