The easily transportable, azimuthal Skywatcher Star Discovery mount with SynScan™ WIFI module was designed for convenient, wireless control with your Android or iOS smartphone or tablet with the free freeware SynScan app. The included WIFI module creates its own WIFI network, so the mount can be used anywhere, even without another existing WIFI network. After entering the coordinates into the app and going through the simple alignment procedure, you’re ready to explore the universe using the app’s intuitive touchscreen menu. The SynScan app enables full computerized GoTo control of the mount and automatically drives your telescope to any object you select from the app’s extensive database of over 10,000 objects. The mount features Skywatcher’s patented Freedom-Find™ dual-encoder technology, which allows the mount to be moved freely by hand without losing position and alignment data. This gives you enormous freedom and additional convenience and flexibility during your observations. The mount works very quietly and has a maximum payload of 5 kg.
