The Off-Axis Guider is an essential accessory for the
Astrophotography at long focal lengths as it is the highest
enables tracking accuracy. Celestron’s off-axis guider
uses a prism to take a small portion of the light out of the image plane
of the telescope (and outside the field of view of the main camera)
deflect so you can track a guiding star. Every movement
of this star corresponds exactly to the movements that also the
main camera sees. For example, an autoguider can track errors
compensate without additional sources of error such as deflection or
twisting of the guide tube to be disturbed. The result: needle-sharp
Stars.
– Most exact tracking method = higher accuracy in comparison
to a guide tube
– Multi-coated 12.5mm prism with aluminum coated
Rear for maximum reflection and a bright image for the
autoguider
– Helical focuser with fixed orientation for easy, accurate
and exact focusing of the autoguider
– 48mm clear aperture allows full frame cameras to be used without
vignetting
– Adapter for the correct distance of SLR cameras,
Nightscape CCD cameras and other popular cameras for the
astrophotography
– Ideal for Schmidt-Cassegrain and EdgeHD telescopes
