The extraordinary Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer 2i mount now includes a built-in WiFi module, but also retains all the familiar and proven functions. The WiFi functions are controlled via the Star Adventurer Mini Console App, available as freeware for Android and iOS devices.
The Star Adventurer allows a wide variety of combinations to meet all your astrophotography and time-lapse photography needs. It is a highly accurate, easily transportable and stable astronomical tracking platform with sidereal, solar and lunar speed and automatic DSLR release control. In addition, it contains pre-programmed parameters to help you create interesting time-lapse videos with your DSLR camera.
You can mount the Star Adventurer 2i on any standard photo tripod with a 1/4″ or 3/8″ threaded connection. You can either adjust the pole height with the swivel head of the tripod or use the optionally available pole height cradle for more precise adjustment. To attach a camera to the Star Adventurer 2i, you can either use an optional ball head or the optionally available L-rail. The L-rail also allows the use of smaller telescopes such as the Skymax 90 in conjunction with the optionally available counterweight. In addition, the L-rail makes it possible to attach a small telescope and a camera at the same time using an optional ball head. If you only use the prism rail of the L-rail, you can also attach two cameras at the same time with two optional ball heads.
