The easily portable Sky-Watcher Startravel-102 AZ-Go2 telescope has been specially developed for wireless control via a smartphone or tablet, with the freeware SynScan app for iOS and Android. The AZ-Go2 mount has a built-in WiFi module that creates its own WiFi network, so that the mount can be operated anywhere without an existing WiFi or mobile network. After entering the coordinates into the app and performing a simple alignment procedure, you’re ready to explore the universe with the app’s intuitive touchscreen menus.
The AZ-Go2 mount with the SynScan app enables a fully computer-controlled GoTo control and allows the telescope to automatically align with all objects in the extensive database with more than 10,000 celestial objects.
Included in the set is the Startravel-102 refractor, a two-lens achromatic air gap refractor completely coated with multicoating, which as a “Richfield refractor” is perfect for observing large-scale objects such as comets, star fields, star clusters, nebulae and bright galaxies but also for planetary observation or for moon and sun (with a safe filter!).
