Sky-Watcher presents the excellent, new, computer-controlled equatorial CQ350 Pro SynScan™ GoTo mount in the heavy observatory mount class. It was developed for the demanding astrophotographer, but is still portable enough for use in the field. The maximum payload is 35kg, which places this mount between the EQ6-R and the EQ8-R. The combined dovetail bar holder for 45 and 75mm dovetail bars allows the inclusion of a large selection of telescopic tubes and other accessories. The quietly operating mount is moved by belt drives of stepper motors in both axes. The well-known SynScan manual control with 42,900 objects contained in the database is used for control. As with all SynScan mounts, it is possible to control the mount via an app with iOS or Android devices via an optional WLAN dongle. There are already 2 10kg counterweights included in the scope of delivery. For easy installation, there is an optional external polar finder available. The CQ350 Pro SynScan™ mount is also compatible with the well-known EQ8 column stand. Included in the scope of delivery of the set is the very solid, transportable 70mm stainless steel tripod.
