This wonderfully versatile new Sky-Watcher EQ-AL55i Pro is equipped with a two-position adjustable counterweight bar, allowing it to be used at all latitudes from 0-90 degrees, avoiding the problems associated with most other mounts at extreme pole heights.
The EQ-AL55i is fully controlled via a smart device via the built-in WLAN module with the help of the freeware “SynScan Pro App” for iOS and Android.
The EQ-AL55i Pro mount is already equipped with a built-in, illuminated polar finder scope for precise setup to the celestial pole and includes connections for USB-C, autoguider, as well as an optionally available SynScan handheld control box and a control socket for triggering a DSLR (also programmable via the SynScan Pro app)
The EQ-AL55i Pro allows up to 10kg payload and is equipped with a 45mm prism clamp to attach a huge range of telescopes and accessories. The EQ-AL55i Pro is a great mount for the astrophotographer, but also for the visual observer who wants a powerful mount that is easily transportable. In addition, a 200mm tripod extension column (No. 20860), a SynScan handheld control box with cable (No. 20948/20193) and a 5kg counterweight (No. 20950) are optionally available.
